Mongoose Consulting was born out of a firsthand experience with the broken state of enterprise IT consulting.
Our founders came from large consulting firms where ServiceNow projects routinely ran 12–18 months, ballooned past $500K, and still went live missing key functionality. The culprit? Hourly billing structures that reward inefficiency, and delivery models built before AI existed.
When large language models and AI code generation matured, we saw a window. ServiceNow development — heavily pattern-based and configuration-driven — was uniquely well-suited to AI acceleration. We spent months building and refining an AI-assisted delivery pipeline purpose-built for the Now Platform.
We designed every aspect of our business around a single constraint: the engagement must be completable in four weeks at a fixed price. Founder & Principal
Brett Karl founded Mongoose Consulting after spending his career building deep expertise across every layer of the ServiceNow ecosystem — as an implementer, platform architect, and industry leader.
Before starting Mongoose, Brett served as VP of Solutions & AI GTM at GlideFast Consulting, one of ServiceNow's Elite partners, where he led partner alliances, solutions strategy, and AI go-to-market initiatives. His time there was preceded by years at ServiceNow itself, where he served as Director of Platform Architecture for the Expert Services AMS West practice — scaling the architecture team and working directly with Fortune 500 organizations as a trusted technical advisor.
Earlier in his career, Brett was a Solutions Architect and Pre-Sales Engineer at TruOI, a Software Analyst at Compuware Corporation, a Consulting Network Administrator at M2 Technology, and a Lead Technical Support Engineer at Barracuda Networks — giving him end-to-end fluency across infrastructure, security, and enterprise software that few platform consultants can claim.
Brett holds a B.S. from Central Michigan University and is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. He is based in the Detroit, MI area.
